Dongera Big Lobster
not a fan of the written word? Watch the video I made while I was there!
On my way down to Perth recently I decided to pay the lobster in Dongera a quick visit. This is what I had to say.
This big dry land is well known for building mildly big objects of miscellaneous breed. The Dongara Big Lobster is a cray cray example.
Located conveniently away from parking or any other tourist friendly structure out the front of this micro-town south of Geraldton, this ten legged spider larva likely contains a maggot brain as it considers a concrete ship with wooden plank floors a suitable craft to sail the seas.
Coupled with a wire mesh style sail, the only water this crusty crustacean will ever experience is the tears of pity from
overseas tourists who probably think this creature comes from a tragic tale of old about a mythical animal that was cursed to carry the dumbest possible ship design in ancient memory.
I mean what are the chances you think that an ancient tribe that had never seen the ocean before would look at this ship and go “yeah budge, that ain’t gonna float”.
So yes. Quite a marvel I think. I do very much love the reviews that were made of the lobster. Below is my personal favourite.
looks like Larry the Lobster has popularity.
